Zahan Akbar
PharmD
Zahan obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island and started his career as a community pharmacist. He has managed several retail pharmacies and is passionate about serving as a healthcare resource to his community. His areas of expertise include medication therapy management, immunizations, and over the counter medications. His favorite part of being a pharmacist is getting to know his patients and providing personalized patient counseling. When he’s not at the pharmacy, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

June 27, 2021 - I always loved going to Phreds in Cranston and was so disappointed that they closed. I had all my prescriptions at a Walgreens and was definitely not satisfied. No one ever picks up the phone and certainly never provided personal attention. When I noticed this pharmacy open, I figured I would go check it out. One visit there was all it took for me to ask for the paperwork to transfer all my prescriptions from Walgreens. If you’re looking for personalized care and someone who answers the phone and friendly and knowledgeable people who work there, this is the place for you! Outstanding service!
